ok so im a year older in 6 hours time. not much birthday plans, havent really bothered to celebrate for past few years unless some friend decides to be kind and drag me out haha. so what does it mean to being 24? - a step closer to the working world
- a new car perhaps....dreaming somewhere of a graduation present as such haha
- buffalo jeans...dont know wht it got stuck in my head past few days....
oops these sound more like birhday wishes. but anyways, i still decided to press on with tution tomorrow night. somehow teaching does preserve my sanity somewhat, letting me interact with people on another level. usually its scolding but im juz as proud when they do well for exams. not sure what to blog so i'll sign off here. blessings to all reading this :)

2 weeks in schoolwell 1.5 weeks actually. 10 things that happened 1) i got a table which meant a whole bunch of popular stationary and desk stuff shopping 2) i plugged in the lan cable hanging from my desk to my lappy for fun and it worked. couldnt stop squealing in delight. super fast cable internet all the time 3) i wore a tie on monday, drove in, and the school's operations manager thought i was a principal coming for a cluster meeting 4) i got asked if i was married 5)i hit my head on some overhanging chinese decorations in the staff room, realizing im the tallest teacher in the whole school 6)i scolded my first bunch of pupils. a few boys for talking during morning assembly's pledge and prayer 7)i explored dusty cabinets and shelves for manipulatives/software in the whole school because everything is self-service 8)the power supply to half the computers in the staff room tripped and no one realized it till the afternoon session 9) i completed 8 lesson plans in 2 days 10) i took my first mc in a year. it HAD to happen during practicum. lucky its ca week anyway. im off to nie again tomorrow to look for guides. wonder if i'll see any coursemates like last sat. God Bless One and All

reality bites *warning: Random thoughts* im a teacher its more than just standing in front of a classroom and talking like other professions, there are so many theories, strategies, insights, opinions etc. cny coming. no reunion dinner this year...family's driving up to kl-genting. still thinking where to go? pop into a relative's house or go macdonald's? been a weekend of seeing a forgotten side of my faith. saw the script for proceedings of confirmation and attended a cousin's baptism. sometimes we take religion so lightly, like its forced upon us. we could have the agnostic view or we could be at the fiercely devoted end of the spectrum. final thought and happening in my life: have a new found fetish for tailored clothes. so many things to mix and match urself. weeee. ok back to work...planning on self-torturing myself with early morning typing. good once in awhile to keep the brain active.

been so busy as of late. finally this weekend can take a breather, catch up on some tv, and have a little more sleep. school's almost ending...juz another 2 weeks to go sans assignments. quite a lot of happenings in my life these past 3 weeks since i last blogged. to sum up guess sometimes its good to be heartless on some level. practicum's acoming, so to all my fellow trainee teachers, this prayer is for you. let's put our knowledge to good use in our lives, especially since we're shaping the lives of others. The poet titled this Graduate's Prayer, but certainly applied to Students. Graduate's Prayer
Father, I have knowledge,so I pray you'll show me now How to use it wisely and find a way somehow To make the world I live in a little better place, And make life, with its problems, a bit easier to face... Grant me faith and courage and put purpose in my days, And show me how to serve Thee in the most effective ways So all my education, my knowledge and my skill, May find their true fulfillment as I learn to do Thy will... And may I ever be aware in everything I do That knowledge comes from learning - And wisdom comes from You. - Helen Steiner Rice

a long day of a long week field trip recce up down and all around chinatown lotsa tempting tasties around....goodies, snacks, liang chas and hawker food the weather is sooo good to sleep so the conducive coolness and the tiredness culminated in letting me concuss for an afternoon nap when i reached home so 1st week of school down, 5 more weeks to go with really quite lotsa work in between started tutions as well this week, really felt good to start teaching again. one tution class is kinda big with 16 kids. needs a lil more effort but then again whats 16 compared to 30-40 in the extremely near future? so yeah spent practically the whole day on ccl. next up will be ced, of which my personal progress is a little too slow for my liking. its the usual difficulty in moving the gears again to start all the readingsm brainstormings and typing. maybe the upcoming shaving of my hair will make me feel better *ponders*
