about 3 weeks since i updated. man time flies. been busy with school work. i think ive undergone some sorta change in doing school work, getting more involved in the work, i.e swotting hard. kinda happy met up with brian on friday. granted, i was stoned out from being in school since 9 but it still felt good to hang around with a true blue brother :). real happy for him that his dreams at UBS have come true but still no matter what the gulf- teacher and banker, our friendship has stood for so long, its juz awesome to know the "rawness" of a friend despite the differences in career, social status, and paths in life. as usual when i post, it usually follows a period of reflection. homily in church was good today. Extracted from the gospel Mark 8:27-35 At this he turned around and, looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do." He summoned the crowd with his disciples and said to them, "Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it." i just love these times of inner peace. Reaffirms the belief in doing His work and spreading His word and love. selfishness is a satanic trait. granted, we're all human beings but to strive to do good in this world is more fulfilling than anything. tht being said, i'm no angel, and have had my fair dishing out of "satanic" actions in the past. i regret what ive done but that being said, those past actions will make me work harder to at least contribute in some way for the community. |
